Sri Lanka IT Pro Forum - December 2016

Last year (actually last week 😉) I got a chance to do a session with my colleague Muditha Jayath Chathuranga on the topic "Protecting Corporate Data with Microsoft Intune Conditional Access" at Sri Lanka IT Pro Forum December meetup. This was a good experience for me as this was my first time.
















Intune Conditional Access helps businesses to protect their services/data on cloud (Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online ...) and on-premise (Exchange) based on Conditional Access policies you specify. You can deploy compliance policies from Intune to users and if a user tries to access a service from a non compliant device or a device which is not registered in Azure AD, access will be blocked. One special thing about Conditional Access policies is, it takes effect immediately as you don't have to deploy it unlike other policies.

To use these device state based conditional access capabilities you must have EM+S (E3 or E5) licenses or Azure Active Directory Premium (P1 or P2) + Intune licenses.
